New: Portrait Wallets for Tall Designs
Some designs just want to stand up tall. An eagle, a lineman on a pole, a rose on a long stem: they look cramped when you turn them sideways. So this week we added something new to our wallets. You can now order our engraved metal wallets in Portrait, with the wallet standing upright and the design running top to bottom.
It works in both wallet builders, it costs the same as before, and we launched it with a brand-new design we are pretty proud of: Eagle Flag Feathers.
How to pick Portrait in the wallet builder
Ordering a portrait wallet takes the same few clicks as any other wallet. Open the metal wallet builder or the Titanium Finish Wallet builder and you will see a new orientation choice.
- Pick your color. The classic wallet comes in black, blue, bright green, army green, red, wine red, pink, purple, orange and titanium finish.
- Choose your orientation: Landscape (wide) or Portrait (tall).
- Pick a design. The live preview updates so you can see the design standing upright on the color you chose.
- Add a name to the cash clip if you like. Name engraving on the clip is free and optional.
The price does not change. A portrait wallet is $50 in the metal wallet builder, and the Titanium Finish Wallet is $55, just like the landscape versions. It is the same wallet either way: aluminum, RFID blocking, a black cash clip, and room for 2 to 15 cards. Only the direction of the design changes.
Meet Eagle Flag Feathers
Eagle Flag Feathers is our brand-new portrait design. It shows an eagle head at the top, and as your eye moves down, its feathers turn into a waving flag with stars. On a tall wallet it has room to flow the way it should.
The photo above is a real black wallet we engraved in our Redmond shop, not a mockup. That is how the laser works on our wallets: it removes the colored surface layer and shows the bright metal underneath, so the design comes out a bright white against the color. Because the design is part of the metal, it won’t peel or rub off like a sticker or a print.
Black gives it a sharp, high-contrast look, but it reads well on every color. Below are a few more options to give you an idea.

Landscape is still here
Nothing is going away. Wide scenes like Crater Lake, Broken Top Mountain, Campfire & Mountains and Elk Bugling still look best stretched across a landscape wallet, and every one of our landscape designs is still in the builder. Portrait simply gives the tall designs a better home.

Frequently asked questions
Does a portrait wallet cost more? No. Portrait is the same price as landscape: $50 for the metal wallet and $55 for the Titanium Finish Wallet.
Can I still put a name on the cash clip? Yes. Free name engraving on the cash clip works the same way on portrait wallets. Just add it at checkout in the builder.
Can I see the portrait wallets in person? Yes. We bring wallets to our shows and engrave them on the spot at our booth, and shop visits in Redmond are available by appointment.
