AirTag Wallets: Find Your Wallet When It Goes Missing
If you have ever patted every pocket looking for your wallet, an AirTag wallet is for you. Ours gives your AirTag its own spot inside the wallet, so you can check where your wallet is from your iPhone. Here is how it works and how to carry it.
What our AirTag wallet is
The Apple AirTag Wallet comes in carbon fiber and costs $55. It has a built-in compartment that holds your AirTag flush with the frame, so there is no bump or add-on hanging off the side. The AirTag itself is not included, so you use one you already own or pick one up on your own.
It holds 2 to 15 cards comfortably. We have seen it hold up to 32 cards tightly, but we do not recommend carrying that many. A rear clip on the back holds your folded bills.
How Find My works, in plain words
An AirTag is a small tracker that pairs with your iPhone. Once it is set up, it shows in the Find My app with a spot on the map.
When your wallet is away from you, Apple devices nearby can pick up the AirTag and pass its location back to you. So the map shows where your wallet was last seen. It will not stop a wallet from getting lost. What it does is help you find it faster, like when it slides between the car seats or gets left on a table.
Tips for carrying an AirTag wallet
- Pair it first: set up the AirTag on your iPhone before it goes in the wallet, so you know it shows in Find My.
- Give it a clear name: call it Wallet in the app so it is easy to spot on your list.
- Use your front pocket: the wallet is slim, and a front pocket keeps it closer to you in a crowd.
- Keep your daily cards handy: put the cards you use most where your fingers find them first.
