Free Name Engraving on the Cash Clip: The Easiest Way to Personalize a Wallet
Here is one of the best-kept secrets in our shop: every one of our metal wallets can have a name laser engraved on the cash clip on the back, at no extra charge. It takes a gift from nice to personal in about ten seconds.
Where the name goes
Flip one of our wallets over and you will see a black cash clip running across the back. That is where the name goes, engraved in bright white so it stands out against the black.
- On our colored aluminum wallets, the Cascade logo sits at the bottom center of the back and your name goes on the clip.
- On our titanium-finish, American Flag, Damascus, Epoxy and AirTag wallets, the logo is on the clip, and your name is engraved to the left of the logo.
The front of the wallet still carries the design you chose, so you get both: your design on the front and your name on the back.
How to add it
When you build your wallet online, look for the checkbox that says “Engrave a name on the cash clip? (free)” right above the Order Now button. Check the box and type up to 3 short lines, 12 letters or numbers each, like a first name, a last name and a phone number. There is a photo right there showing exactly where it goes.
Ordering more than one? Set the quantity first, and you get name lines for each wallet. Two wallets with the same design can carry two different names, like one for you and one for your brother.
Changed your mind after adding it to the cart? You can add, edit or remove the name in the Engraving options box on the cart or checkout page.
Ideas for what to engrave
- A first name for a gift. Simple and classic.
- A last name for a family-heirloom feel.
- A nickname like “Pops,” “Papa Bear” or “Coach.”
- Initials for a clean, understated look.
- Your name and phone number on three short lines, so a lost wallet can find its way home.
- A date like a wedding day, retirement or graduation year.
- A call sign or unit for military and first responders.
Keep it short and the engraving stays big and easy to read.

A few engraving tips
- Check the spelling twice. Engraving is permanent, so make sure names like “Kristen” or “Jon” are spelled exactly right.
- Shorter is bolder. A short name or initials will engrave larger and easier to read than a long full name.
- Capital letters look clean and classic on the black clip.
- Gift tip: If you aren’t sure which name they go by, initials are a safe choice.
